Dear Teachers,

The valuable time you spent teaching us, guiding us, and supporting us has greatly influenced us, not only in the classroom but out in the overwhelming world as well.

Heroes in comic books and movies worldwide have taught us priceless qualities like patience, sacrifice, empathy, adaptability, and the power of listening to others and communicating. But millions of children have already learnt these values from you years before the first hero was printed onto paper. This is the reason why to the world you may be just a teacher but to your students you are a hero.

Achieving our goals and ambitions would not have been possible without your unwavering encouragement and your best practice of showing us the priceless value of real world learning. You taught us the brilliance in asking questions and finding unforeseen connections. Enlightening us with powerful words, you taught us that curiosity is the start of innovation. Instead of giving us the answers, you made sure to light the spark in us that invigorated the desire to find the answers ourselves.

No matter where we are or that you and I are in completely different places ever since classrooms went from being the four walls of a room to the four sides of an electronic device, your lessons are always captivating. This proves that an incredible teacher like you can even do it if we were on opposite ends of the Earth. Because as the saying goes, teachers have three loves: a love of learning, a love of learners, and the love of bringing the first two loves together.

Knowledge is a beautiful gift and you give it to us daily. It was accepted happily by all of us because you centred your teaching on each individual student. In the beginning some of us ran the race faster than others but at the end we all crossed the finished line successfully. That is the power of a great teacher.

You might be questioned frequently about the reason as to why you became a teacher. When someone asks you that, remind them that every job has its ups and downs but not every job can change someone’s life. This is why you are an invaluable part of our society.

One day there will be successful leaders and inspiring innovators changing the world for the better. When asked what set them on their path to success, I am sure their answer will be, “I was accompanied throughout my journey by the greatest people to have entered my life. I was privileged to have been taught by the greatest teachers and their golden words of advice have propelled me to where I am today.

Uplifting and understanding your students have made you a champion and an awe-inspiring personality. You have planted many seeds of innovation and lit the fire of curiosity in the younger generations. Because of your hard work and sacrifice, you have lodged a purpose in our minds and our hearts. We hope to make you proud.

THANK YOU to our beautiful teachers!
